TNS Pilots 75th Anniversary Big Picnic

July 10th 2011

Eyes widened as what appeared to be the biggest birthday cake ever was unwrapped before the 75 Pilots and 46 leaders, helpers & “Old Pilots” who had gathered to celebrate 75 years of Pilots by having a “Big Picnic”.

The cake, followed by ice-cream and worship, rounded off a brilliant day in the beautiful surroundings of Latimer Park near Chesham.

Games, races.fun and friends made for a great way to –“Thank God for Pilots!”

The Voyagers and Navigators (V&N) residential events have always been keenly awaited by Pilots. Looking at issues that impact on young people today, they offer opportunities for Voyagers and Navigators to explore the issues and how they might deal with them using a mixture of discussions, games, activities and worship.

These opportunities to feel part of the bigger Pilots family and to meet others of a similar age are very special, make sure your Pilots have the opportunity to attend.

This year's event: V & N: The Greatest Story Ever Told!

Date:  Monday 8th until Thursday 11th August 2011

Venue:  St Cassian’s Centre, Kintbury, Berkshire (a shuttle will be available from and to Reading train station)

Price:  £40 (family discounts available)

This year’s V&N event will have a Hollywood theme and will contain the usual mix of fun, drama, activities, craft and worship and will include a trip to the bowling ally and a party night to celebrate the Pilots 75th anniversary.
